This bill seeks to alter the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999, to provide for the appointment of Chairman of the Federal Judicial Service Commission among the retired Chief Justices of Nigeria, President of the Court of Appeal and Justices of the Supreme Court; to bring the procedure for such appointment to be in conformity
with the global best practice; to curb duplication of duties and over-concentration of
powers in the office of the Chief Justice of Nigeria.
