My state should adopt a policy requiring the House of Assembly to publish bills, public hearing notices, legislative decisions, and summaries of its proceedings on a free, mobile-friendly platform.

Each bill should include a plain-language explanation of its purpose, the people it would affect, and how citizens can submit feedback before it is passed. Summaries should also be available in relevant local languages, with radio announcements and printed notices helping reach residents who have limited internet access.

This policy would give citizens a clearer understanding of decisions that affect their communities and a practical opportunity to contribute. It would also help journalists report accurately and make it easier for the public to follow their representatives’ work. Legislative information should be accessible to everyone, regardless of education, income, or location.
