Title: Ogun State Public Project Tracking and Citizen Oversight Policy

Ogun State should establish a Public Project Tracking and Citizen Oversight Policy that allows citizens to easily monitor government-funded projects across the state.

Under the policy, every major government project should have a publicly accessible project profile showing the project location, approved budget, contractor, contract amount, expected completion date, current implementation status and funding released. Citizens should also be able to submit reports, photographs and feedback on projects in their communities.

The policy would strengthen transparency, improve legislative oversight and encourage citizens to participate in monitoring public expenditure. It would also help government agencies identify delayed or poorly implemented projects earlier and improve accountability in the use of public funds.

As Ogun already has an e-procurement and open-data platform, the proposed system could build on these existing structures and add a stronger citizen-monitoring component. (eprocurements.ogunstate.gov.ng)

The goal is simple: citizens should not only know what government promises to build, they should be able to track whether it is actually delivered , in progress or not yet done .
