Strengthening Subnational Protection: A Policy Framework for Mandatory SGBV Data Integration and Survivor Support Centers across Oyo State LGAs

 I propose a state-level policy mandating the establishment of localized Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) desks equipped with standardized Gender-Based Violence Information Management Systems (GBVIMS) across all local government areas in Oyo State, coupled with free legal aid integration. While legal frameworks exist, implementation and accurate subnational tracking remain fragmented. This policy will ensure real-time data collection, streamline survivor reporting, protect confidentiality, and legally mandate grassroots civil society collaboration with local authorities ultimately bridging the gap between legislative intent and localized protection for women and adolescents.
