Biography
Hon. Makinde Abiola Peter is a Nigerian politician serving as the Federal Representative for Ondo East/Ondo West Federal Constituency in Ondo State in the 10th Nigerian House of Representatives. Born on August 16, 1973, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Makinde has a history of grassroots leadership, having served as caretaker chairman of Ondo West Local Government and as a board member of the National Commission on Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education. His political journey is marked by his focus on empowerment and community development, earning him the nickname "Father of Empowerment."
He was re-elected in the 2023 general elections, showing strong electoral support within his constituency. He serves as the Vice Chairman of the Federal Character Committee in the House of Representatives.
