Biography
Paul Gowon Haruna, popularly known as IJN, is a Nigerian politician currently serving as the member of the House of Representatives for Bassa/Dekina Federal Constituency, Kogi State. He was elected in the 2023 general elections. Prior to this, he served in the Kogi State House of Assembly from 2012 to 2016.
His legislative focus includes infrastructure development, water supply projects, road construction, and community empowerment. He has initiated multiple constituency-based projects such as rehabilitating water facilities, distributing solar street lights, and supporting youth and women through training and financial grants.
Haruna is known among constituents for redirecting parts of his salary and emoluments toward community development. He is affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
