Biography
Obed Paul Shehu is a Nigerian politician from Gombe State and a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He represents the Kaltungo/Shongom Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, elected in 2023. Shehu serves as Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs). Known for his grassroots initiatives, he has disbursed over ₦50 million in grants to empower youths and women, facilitated solar boreholes, improved local roads, schools, and health centers, and supported education through scholarships. He also sponsored a bill to establish a Snake Bite and Toxicology Research and Treatment Centre in Kaltungo.
