Summary & Analysis
This law establishes the Ekiti State Bureau of Asset Management as a corporate body with perpetual succession, a common seal, and the power to sue, hold, and dispose of property. The Agency is independent in discharging its functions and the State Government cannot transfer or encumber the Agency’s interests except as provided by law. It has a Board of Directors and an Executive Management, with a Director‑General, and is responsible for preparing asset management plans, overseeing asset use by custodians, and ensuring reporting and audits. The law sets out principles of asset management, duties of custodians, conflict of interest rules, and limits on lawsuits against the Agency. It also empowers the Agency to issue regulations, guidelines, and procedures for the optimization, maintenance, and disposal of state‑owned assets.
