Summary & Analysis
This law amends the principal Local Content Law of 2022 to restructure the Board with a part‑time Chairman, two part‑time members, and representatives from key ministries, all appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the House of Assembly. It deletes Section 8 and inserts multiple new provisions (Sections 12A, 17A, 20A–20N, and a new Part BB). The amendment establishes a Bureau of Local Content with a Director‑General and staff, defines the Bureau’s functions and powers, and updates rules on local content in contract bidding. The changes aim to strengthen local participation, oversight, and enforcement of local content requirements in Ekiti State. The law also amends Sections 2, 3, 12, 22, 23, 26, and 27 of the Principal Law.
