Summary & Analysis
This law amends the High Court Law, Cap H3, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012 by deleting and replacing Section 3. The new Section 3 provides that the number of Judges of the Ekiti State High Court shall be such number as may from time to time be appointed in the manner prescribed under Section 271 of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria (as amended). This removes any previously fixed statutory number of judges. The amendment aligns the State High Court’s judicial strength with constitutional provisions and allows flexible determination based on needs. The law is cited as the High Court Law (First Amendment), 2024.
