Biography
Sekav Dzua Iyortyom born on 14 September 1963, hailing from Buruku LGA is the federal legislator representing the Buruku Federal Constituency of Benue State in Nigeria’s 10th National Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His early education was at Demonstration Primary School Mkar (1970-75) and Government Teacher’s College Mkar (1975-80).
He later studied at the Institute of Education of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1982-85) and worked in teaching before moving into business and politics.
Prior to being elected to the National Assembly, Iyortyom served in the Benue State executive as Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism.
As a legislator, he has sponsored motions on issues like flood management, agricultural development, restoration of ancestral constituency rights and special-economic-zone investments for Benue State.
