Biography
Patrick Abba Moro (born 3 July 1956) is a Nigerian politician, educational administrator, and former Minister of Interior. He is currently the pro-chancellor and chairman of the governing council of the University of Agriculture, Makurdi. Moro began his academic career at Benue State Polytechnic, where he served in various leadership roles, including Dean of Studies. He transitioned into politics as chairman of Okpokwu Local Government Council in 1998 and later became minister of interior in 2011 under President Goodluck Jonathan. In 2019, he was elected as Senator representing Benue South, succeeding David Mark. His political career has been marked by both leadership achievements and legal controversies, including an ongoing trial related to a 2014 recruitment scam during his tenure as minister.
