Biography
Aliyu Muktar Betara is a Nigerian legislator and accountant representing the Biu/Kwaya‑Kusar/Shani/Bayo Federal Constituency of Borno State in the House of Representatives since 2007. His education includes an OND and HND in Business Administration from Ramat Polytechnic Maiduguri. Prior to politics, he worked as an accountant with the presidency’s Directorate for Food, Roads & Rural Infrastructure (DFFRI) and later at NITEL, the Nigerian Telecommunications Company. He is the Chairman of the House Committee on FCT (Federal Capital Territory).
