ZAINAB GIMBA

Zainab Gimba is a Nigerian legislator representing the Bama/Ngala/Kala‑Balge Federal Constituency of Borno State in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress. She holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Public Administration from the University of Maiduguri and a PhD in Public Administration and Policy Analysis from the University of Abuja. Before her election in 2019, she served as Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation and Youth Empowerment (2011‑2014), Commissioner at the Universal Basic Education Board (2014‑2015), and Commissioner for Water Resources (2015‑2018) in Borno State. She is the Chairman of the House Committee on Steel.
