Biography
Aniekan Etim Bassey (born August 30, 1978) is a Nigerian politician, entrepreneur, and philanthropist from Ekim Enen, Uruan LGA, Akwa Ibom State. He began his political career in 2014 and was elected to the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, where he served as Speaker from 2019 to 2023. In 2023, he was elected Senator representing Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District. He currently serves as Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture Production Services and Rural Development. Bassey is the founder of the RHAB-YESS Foundation, focused on youth empowerment, rural development, and support for indigent communities.
