Biography

Dibiagwu Eugene Okechukwu (born December 24, 1971) is a Nigerian politician and member of the House of Representatives, representing the Ohaji/Egbema–Oguta–Oru West Federal Constituency of Imo State. A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he was elected in 2023 and serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Regional Development. Before entering national politics, Dibiagwu was active in community development and local governance, building a reputation for grassroots mobilization and youth empowerment in Imo State’s oil-producing region. Since assuming office, he has launched multiple constituency projects focused on road rehabilitation, school renovations, agricultural support, and health-insurance enrolment. His legislative interests centre on regional integration, equitable resource distribution, and infrastructural development for oil-bearing communities.
