Summary & Analysis
This law mandates that no regulation (including rules, orders, and notices) shall have legal effect unless it is first laid before and approved by a resolution of the Ekiti State House of Assembly. Regulations made by government bodies such as boards or corporations are deemed made by the supervising ministry, and the Commissioner must present them to the Assembly for approval. After the law takes effect, all approved regulations must be published in the Official Gazette. The law does not invalidate any regulation validly made before its commencement. Its purpose is to strengthen legislative oversight over all regulations issued in the state.
