FALEKE JAMES ABIODUN

Dr. James Abiodun Faleke (born December 25, 1959) is a seasoned logistic and business management consultant turned politician. After earning an MBA from Kaduna Polytechnic, he held senior roles at Aluminium Manufacturing Company (ALUMCO) and Crown Agents Ltd. In 2003, he was appointed the pioneer Executive Secretary of Ojodu LCDA, later democratically elected as Chairman—serving two consecutive terms until 2011. During his tenure, he chaired the Conference of Lagos LCDA Chairmen and contributed to electoral and governance reforms. Faleke’s legislative career began with his election to the House of Representatives in June 2011, and he has retained the Ikeja seat through 2023. A respected voice in the 9th and 10th Assemblies, he chairs the House Committee on Finance and previously led the Anti‑Corruption & Ethics Committee. His sponsored legislation includes the NYSC Act Amendment (mandating insurance for corps members), a bill to restrict military uniform misuse, and motions to block illegal border routes in response to security threats. In his constituency, Faleke is noted for infrastructure development, education investments, and economic empowerment programs. His responsive constituency office addresses local needs in Ikeja.
