Biography
Dr. Waheed holds an MBBS from Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto (graduating by 1991). He also trained at Anwar‑ul‑Islam College, Agege (1977–1982).
Political Career:
Served in the Lagos State House of Assembly (1999–2003) and later as Commissioner for Special Duties (2011–2015) and Commissioner for Local Government & Community Affairs (2020–2023).
Elected to the House of Representatives in 2023, representing Agege Federal Constituency on the APC ticket, winning 27,445 votes.
Legislative Focus:
In office since June 2023, he co-sponsored key health-related motions, such as improving treatment of accident victims within the first 24 hours—a motion adopted by Lagos State Assembly.
He continues to advocate robustly for public health infrastructure, local healthcare facilities, and community disaster response planning.
