BALOGUN ADEBAYO OLUSEGUN

Born June 11, 1968, Adebayo Olusegun Balogun has forged a career rooted in grassroots governance and legislative service. His journey began as Secretary and then Deputy Executive Secretary of Ibeju Lekki Local Government between 1999 and 2004. Later, he was twice elected Executive Secretary (2007–2008) and Chairman (2004–2007, 2008–2011), signalling strong local support. . A technocrat and seasoned public servant, Balogun served as Commissioner on the Lagos State House of Assembly Service Commission (2012–2019). In 2019, he won election to the National Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC), representing Ibeju Lekki at the federal level—securing reelection in 2023. During his terms in the House of Representatives, he has been active in constituency development—championing infrastructure upgrades, youth empowerment programmes, and education initiatives. Known for accessibility and community-first leadership, he often holds town hall meetings and listens directly to constituents’ needs.
