Biography
Senator Samaila Dahuwa Kaila represents Bauchi North Senatorial District in Nigeria’s 10th National Assembly. Elected in 2023 under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), he won with 102,043 votes. Before becoming senator, Kaila served as Bauchi State Commissioner for Health. In the Senate, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health. On October 6, 2025, he resigned from the PDP, citing internal conflicts and factionalism that affected his legislative work. Kaila remains an influential political figure focused on health and governance in Bauchi State.
